Part of InnovationCamp is a track of half-day sessions that are meant to be hands-on collaboration, participation problem/solutions sessions. I shamelessly got the inspiration from a TransitCamp poster:

Bottom line… it’s more and more clear to me that tackling big problems (or any interesting problem) through large scale up-front analysis and then implementation doesn’t work.
Anyway, the question is, how do we manage these half day sessions? They’ll start with a problem statement as part of the proposal for the session (a la BarCamp). The goal, however, is to move toward an iterative, experimental, prototype driven, build-to-think dynamic as soon as possible. The question is, how to best harness the creative, collaborative power in the room…?
Break the larger group into smaller groups? Alternate between brainstorm and then prototype/test and then present (and repeat)?
What tools should we use? Wikis?
Thoughts…?
