Tweeting Your Strategy—Update

Last week, I lobbed a bit of a challenge to our corporate readers (all 3 of them) to see if they could articulate their corporate strategy in a tweet. This thought-stream was prompted by a recent Harvard Business Review article which suggests that many senior managers can’t succinctly state (in 35 words or less) what their company’s strategy is. Much less manage employees who are supposed to be executing that strategy??? But that is for a different conversation.

While no one from corporate replied, we did receive via twitter a few awesome and succinct strategy statements.

1. On behalf of Conjunctured, the first ever co-company (from Austin), Dusty Reagan weighed in with 2 versions:

v.1 Conjunctured is a member-based community of free agents who collaborate under a common brand while maintaining their autonomy.

v.2 (or a little more client centric) Conjunctured helps organizations have conversations online.

(v. 2 nails it short and sweet!!)

2. Next was Mitch Denny from NotGartner and Readify

Readify aims to be the leading .NET software development consulting and training provider. It will do this by hiring the best people.

3. And finally, we heard from Sean Osteen, whose firm TechMonkey Design is on fire!

TechMonkey’s v0.7b: ‘Promote & create tools 4 the digital nomad to drive less, get more done, and then unplug and enjoy the day.’

Amen to that!

Thanks all, you’ve made my weekend!
