Matrix Management

Matrix Management has been around since the 70s. If you search for "matrix management" on Google, the Wikipedia entry comes first (of course) and our definition comes up 39th (out of 85,000 or so results). In retrospect, maybe this isn't too surprising. What is surprising is that someone, hunting for information on Google, is finding and clicking on this link despite the fact that the summary says something about "Not an MBA and a cup of coffee" and nothing at all about matrix management. The possibilities for mayhem are staggering. This could be a student writing a paper on management for a college Management 101 class. Imagine what would happen if a group of people made a concerted effort to Google-bomb these definitions! I'm not suggesting anyone do that of course—it would be evil.

Fuck MBA

People search for weird shit. On a regular basis, we are getting hits on the search term "fuck MBA". What could these people be looking for? I almost don't care to speculate. In any event, I did investigate and when I tried that search myself, our site comes up in the number four slot, behind a Myspace page for someone calling himself "D.J. Fuck U M.B.A"—a talented purveyor of fine groove (seriously, "the Bill Gates of rap"). I'm really restraining the impulse to go for the #1 slot here.

P.S. What a wonderful day! Further investigation of the mysterious artist reveals that his moniker is actually "D.J. Fuck U" and he's part of the group "M.B.A." which stands for "Money Before Anything". This is so amazingly appropriate it defies my definition of coincidence. Dicktionary, here comes another definition!

    Holy crap,
I actually searched fuck MBA and that's how i ended up on your fine site.
I have been enjoying it thoroughly.

I'm tired of people thinking that they NEED an MBA, so i was trying to find some encouragement by googling 'no mba'...that turned up little, so i decided to search for someone with a little more 'zest' and i found you guys.

    hillarious.

p.s. i have another definition of MBA, not sure if it's an old one...but i think it's original 'Master's of Bullshitting and Asskissing'.

    Ah, yes...

I worked for one of those MBAs once (or twice) (or thrice)...

You just seriously made my entire year with your comment. It brings it all home. We will meet some day and I will buy you a beer!
